Isola Bella AND Mazzarò Beach

A corner of paradise, easily reached by cable car

Among the excursions not to be missed during your stay in Taormina is Isola Bella, one of the most evocative corners of Sicily. This small island, about one square kilometer in size, is covered with lush vegetation and connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand, which is partially submerged by the tides, making the landscape even more magical.

Today, Isola Bella is also a nature reserve and home to a museum, which can be visited inside the historic villa built on the island. Walking along its paths surrounded by greenery and enjoying panoramic views is an experience not to be missed, perfect for those who love nature, relaxation, and photography.

Directly opposite Isola Bella is Mazzarò beach, one of the most beautiful and well-equipped in the area, ideal for a day at the beach, swimming, water sports, or simply relaxing in the sun.

Both are easily reached from the city by cable car, which connects the historic center of Taormina to the coast below in just a few minutes, also offering a splendid view of the sea during the journey.
